MCT is beginning a new and exciting project to support vulnerable street children. The first stage of MCT's 'Street Children' Project is a research study to assess the situation on the ground by talking to young people about their lives, the problems they face and their hopes for the future. The results of these interviews will guide MCT’s strategy in assisting street children and their families. The findings will be collated into a report and launched in September 2010.

Through our partners Groupe Maroc Horizons, MCT takes forward social and educational development projects to improve outcomes for young people in Southern Morocco. This includes tackling female illiteracy, pre-school teaching, non-formal education for children who have been forced to leave school, extra lessons for struggling students and organising positive activities. We also work closely with children who live or work on the street, and when possible their families. We aim to provide a support network for them and help them build brighter futures.

MCT also invites and supports volunteers from outside Morocco to join GMH in their work. By fully integrating our volunteers into the Moroccan community of Tarroudant, they can enjoy the "true" Morocco, making their experience life-changing and unforgettable. We organise training for volunteers and by carefully arranging and supporting their work in a number of well-established institutions, our projects help to.
Together, we hope to build brighter futures for Moroccan children. Find out more about participating in our volunteer projects by clicking here.
